I submitted my linksys router mac address (found on the back of router) to my wan operator (who provides mac based connection) but my wireless laptop and wifi phone did not connect.

I’ve already installed a lot of programs and applications. Just recently I’ve been unable to install any programs or applications. I wish I could show you a picture, but this Windows Security window pops up and says “Your Internet security settings prevented one or more files from being opened”. What do I need to do in order to allow applications to be installed. Tell me what to do.
I have an eee pc, so no cd drive. However, I have a computer with a cd drive, and I have a cd that will install linux. I need to know how to get the installation on my flash drive so I can get linux on my eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee pc.

I want to make a Linux OS using LFS but I don’t know what packages to use. I want it to be very simple and look somewhat like a windows OS. I also want it to be very secure but as small and lightweight as I can make it.
I’ve been looking at the Ubuntu Linux site for a while, they tell you how to partition a drive, but not how to set it up for two HD’s with a choice of which to boot on startup.
I know I could have the BIOS always pop up on powerup, but is there an easier way?
